JAMMU, Jan 9: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu, Puneet Gupta today granted two days police remand of Pawan Kumar Padha, Cashier in District Social Welfare Officer, who was caught red-handed by the Vigilance Organization while accepting bribe.
The Cashier was nabbed as soon as he accepted Rs 2000 as graft from Kamal Kumar for giving him a cheque of Rs 4000. Pawan Kumar had been delaying release of Rs 4000 worth cheque of Kamal Kumar since December seeking Rs 2000 in lieu of payment. Kamal Kumar had repaired computers of the Social Welfare Department.
