Country facing undeclared ‘emergency’ : Manohar

JAMMU, Nov 5: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today said that country is facing undeclared emergency like situation.
In a press statement issued here today,  Mr Sharma strongly condemned  the BJP Government  over the arrest of  senior AICC leader  Rahul Gandhi (MP)  in the  recent incident of suicide of  retired Subedar,  Ram Krishan Grewal of  Indian Army at India Gate New-Delhi, some time back.
The Congress leader  alleged that fake propaganda of BJP Government that OROP has done is totally baseless and misleading as which ever has been done is not OROP but only the removal of pension anomalies in some cases. He said  if the demand of OROP had been met why the ex-soldiers are forced to continue the agitation. Moreover, Government tried to hush  up the issue by making false statements to confuse the  whole issue.
Dr Sharma condemn the torture and  humiliating treatment given to the family of  Retd Subedar. He also quoted some examples of well known personalities from different sections of the society who dare to raise voice against the suppression  and autocratic style of Government functioning like famous comedian Kapil Sharma and the media personality  Ravish Kumar from NDTV, veteran Journalists Akshaya Mukul and Anna Vetticad.
Dr Sharma lamented the Government on imposition of one day ban on NDTV  which is a try to suppress the voice of press and electronic media who dares to expose their misleading and showmanship and many other examples of suppressing the genuine voice of press and political leaders   seem to leading the  country towards undeclared emergency.
