JAMMU, Nov 16: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Ward 51, Channi Himmat (also Member of Health and Sanitation Committee) and BJP leader, Rajkumar Tarkhan here today started lane and drain work at Mohalla Shaka in Channi Himmat which will incur the expenditure of Rs. 5 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor said that water used to enter houses in the area creating problems for the residents there who brought the matter to his notice and he in turn took initiatives and the work of lane-drain has started today.
He assured the people that developmental issues of the Ward and its adjoining areas will be given priority.
Tarkhan said that grievances of public regarding proper power-water supply, proper lane-drain and road upgradation will be resolved soon.
Jagdish Raj Proch, Ward president; Mohd Javed, Jyoti Gandotra, Gandharv Singh, Balbir Singh, Mohd Shareef, Nakul Saroch, Sarvar Wani, Mohd Rafiq, Mohd Iqbal, Shankar Singh, Rakesh Kumar and others were also present on the occasion.
