Councillor starts drain work

JAMMU, Nov 10: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Anil Kumar Masoom here today started construction and repair work of drains in Ward 10.
A handout stated that the work will be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 4 lakh.
The drains were in dilapidated condition since long and the locals there were facing a lot of problems due to that.
Councillor Masoom while speaking on the occasion appealed to the general public to come forward and co-operate JMC in various development works within Jammu city.
He urged upon the residents to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine works and shun the habit of throwing debris, garbage, filth etc in public drains and lanes.
Masoom asked the people to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
Parveen Kerni, Vishaw Partap Singh, Anita Gandotra, Sudhir Anand, Subash Anand, Rahul Pardhan, Nipun Malhotra, Tarun, Vinay Chopra, Ajeet Yogi, Rahul Kumar, Micky and others were also present on the occasion.
