NEW DELHI, May 2: Cottonseed oil cake prices firmed up by Rs 22 to Rs 1,208.50 per quintal in futures trade today after participants accumulated fresh positions, largely in line with firming trend at the physical markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for May shot up by Rs 22 or 1.85 per cent to Rs 1,208.50 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,25,250 lots.
Cottonseed oil cake for the most-traded delivery in June climbed Rs 21 or 1.76 per cent to Rs 1,217 per quintal, in an open interest of 1,81,170 lots.
Marketmen said the rise in cottonseed oil cake futures prices to building up of fresh positions by participants, driven by pick up in demand at the physical markets. (PTI)
