NEW DELHI, Aug 20: Coriander and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today owing to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Coriander and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 8,300-14,100 and Rs 8,800-12,300 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said slackened demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks, mainly pulled down coriander and turmeric prices.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs):
Ajwain (per kg) 175-240, black pepper (per kg) 720-850, betel-nut (kg) 240-295, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,220-1,230 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,260-1,460.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 750-850, cardamom (colour robin) 650-660, cardamom bold 740-750, cardamom extra (bold) 840-850 and cloves 550-640. (PTI)
