DODA, June 3: Police here today saved a father and his son from ending their lives.
Police sources informed that one Ikhlaq Khan, son of Hassan Din and his son, both residents of Chiralla, Doda attempted to jump into river Chenab from Pul Doda to end their lives.
Noting this, alert cops deployed on the bridge swung into action and rescued both the persons and shifted them to Police Post Pul Doda for counselling after which they were handed over to their legal heirs.
A handout stated that additional support through counselling is crucial for the well-being of both the rescued persons.
