Srinagar, Dec 9: Militants fired upon a cop in Hamdania Colony area of Bemina in Srinagar this evening.
Militants this evening fired upon a cop identified as Selection Grade constable Hafiz Chat son of Ghulam Hassan Chat at Mathiya Bund Hamdania Colony Bemina.
He was immediately shifted to a nearby SKIMS hospital Bemina for treatment. He has injury on right arm and right side of abdomen. His condition is said to be stable. Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
The attack comes a day after the funeral of Inspector Masroor Ahmad who was shot last month and succumbed to injuries at AIIMS on Thursday.
