SRINAGAR, Dec 31: A policeman was killed when militants opened fire on a police party in Handwara area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district this evening.
Police said that a selection grade constable, Abdul Kareem, was critically injured after militants opened fire on a naka party in Chogal area of Handwara this evening. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where he succumbed.
Massive searches were launched in the area but the militants managed to flee.
