UDHAMPUR, Apr 10: A Police Constable died when his WagonR car, he was travelling in, rolled down in deep gorge at Kothi Nallha near Basantgarh.
The deceased was identified as Mohamed Hanif, son of Abdullah, resident of Basantgarh. He was Selection Grade Constable in J&K Police, posted at Latti Police Station, and had taken leave for a day to go Basantgarh
According to the reports, the deceased was driving WagonR car, bearing reg. no. JK02AG-7860 and was on way from Basantgarh to Latti when the car rolled down at Kothi Nallha, about 10 km from Basantgarh.
Locals rushed to the spot and took the victim to PHC Basantgarh where doctors referred him to District Hospital Udhampur. However he succumbed to his injuries on way to Udhampur.
