REASI, June 26: Three drug peddlers, including a Constable of J&K Police, were arrested and 50 Mgm opium was recovered from their possession, here today.
Besides a cash of Rs 1,63,400, which was collected by them through sale of drugs, and a small digital weighing machine were also recovered from the accused, who were identified as Gurcharan Singh, a Constable of J&K Police and resident of Degree College Road, Udhampur, Kunal Pandoh of Ward number 8, Reasi, and Mohan Lal of Kund Khanyari, tehsil Pouni.
The trio was intercepted by a special team of District Police Reasi, which was chasing them following a specific information.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 96/2016 U/S 8/18/62 NDPS Act, has been registered at Police Station Reasi and investigation of the case was in progress.
