REASI, Oct 21: All J&K Plus 2 Contractual Lecturers Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of its State president, Arun Bakshi and reconstituted its district unit.
Kirpal Singh was appointed as president, Abdul Jabber Bhat as senior vice president, Vishal Bali as vice president and Faiz Ahmed as general secretary.
While speaking, Arun Bakshi said that the association is going to launch fast unto death at Jammu, as the Government has failed to mitigate their problems.
He highlighted demands including regularization under Special Provision Act 2010 and enhancement of salaries as per contractual rules.
Asif Bhat, vice president, impressed upon the contractual lecturers to be united so as to the press the Government for redressal to their demands.
