DODA, Mar 30: The Contractors Association Changa Doda held a protest demonstration today against the Block Development Officer Changa in front of BDO office at Changa and UT Government’s failure to release their bills which are pending last two years.
Scores of contractors and job card holders who assembled in Changa block area of Doda district raised slogans against the Government and Rural Development Department demanded clearance of bills which they claimed were pending with the Government.
Contractor’s of Changa Bhalessa staged a strong protest against the RDD Deptt Changa locking its office due to delayed bill generation resulting in fund shortages.
They allege that a billed amount of 4 lakhs was reduced to 1 lakh due to non-payment. Contractors have requested LG administration to release pending amount.
