JAMMU, Feb 22: Contractors Association PWD (R&B) Department has warned to held protest on February 26 if the Government failed to defer the implementation of Pay and Accounts System to the next financial year.
In a handout issued, General Secretary of the Association Joy Khokhar said that since the financial year is coming to close after 25 working days, the implementation of the Pay and Accounts System from February 15 in various Government departments will create problem to the contractors.
He asked the Government to implement the Pay and Accounts System to the next financial year i.e from April 1, 2018, otherwise all the contractors working in the Public Works Department (R&B) will assemble at Lok Nirman Bhawan, Rail Head Complex, Jammu on February 26 and held protest.
He appealed to the contractors to assemble at the venue of the protest if Government failed to announce the deferment of the implementation of Pay and Accounts System by February 25.
