JAMMU, June 7: JMC Councillor Sharda Kumari in presence of Ex MLC Vikram Randhawa, District president Vinay Gupta kick started construction work of nallah at Sheikh Nagar of Ward-47 with the estimated cost of Rs 7.50 lakh, here today.
Speaking on the occasion, the Councillor said that the people of the area were facing hardships due to damage of the old nallah since long time. “However, some part of nallah had already constructed and inaugurated during the tenure of former MLC Vikram Randhawa,” she said.
The Councillor also directed the JMC concerned XEN, AEE and JEE to make sure that the construction work of the nallah would be completed in stipulated time that too with quality of work.
The councillor also appealed to locals to take all precautions such as wearing masks and maintaining social distancing to defeat COVID-19 pandemic.
