Construction of Sh. Amarnath Road

Sir,
The annual Amarnath yatra from base camp  to Holy Cave is performed every year upto Shravni Purnima from both the routes of Pahalgam and Baltal. During this short period of yatra approximate 100 fatal casualties occur every year due to massive heart attacks and failure of respiratory system as there is less oxygen being an altitude of 12000 feet. This is further aggravated due to on foot journey which involve extra burden on health of a person. There is urgent need for road connectivity from base camp of wither Pahalgam or Baltal to Holy Cave. The present system of yatra is not foolproof on foot or by ponies etc. Although, the administration makes elaborate arrangements for yatra by providing helicopter services which is not within the reach of every person due to poor economical background. If the journey is performed by use of vehicles, the unexpected fatal casualties being suffered every year can be avodied. If road can be constructed on Leh-Khardungla heights which is world’s highest road why can’t the road from base camp to Holy Cave be constructed. Moreover, more persons can perform this terrain journey in the stipulated period of approximate 50 days which varies from year to year. I request the present State and Centre Govt to take necessary steps for construction of this holy road. This can be done easily by provision of funds by the Union Govt. led by NDA.
Yours etc…
