Srinagar, May 27: To save time and improve the road connectivity to Chenab Valley, the State Government today said the proposal regarding construction of alternate highway from Lakhanpur to Doda via Ranjit Sagar Dam is under progress.
In a written reply to question of Daleep Singh Parihar in Lower House, the Minister Incharge said the matter regarding providing alternate road connectivity to Chenab valley by constructing a National Highway from Lakahanpur to Doda via Ranjit Sagar Dam was flagged off by the Chief Minister of the State along with Minister for Road Transport and Highways during the meeting held at New Delhi in April 2016.
“The Ministry desired the state to send a detailed proposal in the matter which is under progress. The appraisal reports for the construction of road from Padhri to Bal Padri and from Chattergala to Kailash Kund upto Seoj Dhar are under process,” he said.
