This is to bring in the notice of the District administration, Udhampur that the alignment of Thathli-Saddal road in Panchari Tehsil should in no way be changed as it will serve no purpose other than involving extra money. It has come to our notice that alignment of this road is being changed. It is now proposed to be Panjar-Saddal-Thathli road, which is no way is going to serve any purpose to people here. It will involve not only more expenditure, but will also waste precious time.
It is requested to the administration to get the Thathli-Saddal road as proposed earlier, constructed at the earliest for the convenience of people here.

Completion of Bani-Basohli-Bhaderwah roads
We, the people of Bhaderwah want to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the Bhaderwah Bani-Basohli road which is under construction since 1975. The road, so called a defence road, was scheduled to be completed in all respects by ending 2015 and an announcement to this effect was made by the concerned authority. But even half of the work has not been completed upto the 3rd quarter of 2016. The progress is very slow and even the Agency which is constructing the road does not know when the road is getting to be completed. Such type of slow pace of work shows that the road shall not be completed even by 2020.
It is as such requested that the road being a defence road a quick action is needed to be initiated at the earliest in order to complete the road on the fast track. The pace of work should be made progressive.

Plea to Div Com Jammu
The Jammu and Kashmir Govt has appointed the Divisional Commissioner of Jammu region as Chairman of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board with this understanding that being Administrative head of Jammu region, Divisional Commissioner has all powers to solve all the problems of the pilgrims who visit the Shiv Khori Shrine .
I was extremely disappointed to note that my mobile phone having Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited Sim card did not work during my Katra to above said shrine.
I request the Div. Com to please approach to the concerned Department/Authority to do the necessary work so that mobiles having BSNL Sim Card may function in the area, keeping in view the importance of the shrine.
It is not out of place to mention here that more than fifteen lacs pilgrims visit the said shrine every year.

Install transformers at Swarn Vihar
The Power Minister of the State is requested to install two to three transformers in Swarn Vihar, Police Colony to meet the needs of the people. There is urgent need to install transformers as the existing transformers are not in a position to meet the requirement. With the result, these trip down time and again causing great inconvenience to the residents.
It may be sad here that the Colony is witnessing rapid expansion and the residents should be provided all basic amenities including the power.
Hope, the Deputy Chief Minister who also happens to be the Power Minister would look into this matter at the earliest.

Repair Muthi Link road
The road link connecting Bantalab road on one side and Akhnoor road on the other is in bad condition. The road has developed huge pot-holes all aong the stretch. These pot-holes are a great source of inconvenience to motorists, particularly during night hours when visibility is very low. Though road is repaired off and on it seems the work remains sub-standard. Since it is a busy road, it should be ensured that the road is constructed as per standard specifications.
The condition has worsened so much that there is every likelihood of an untoward eventuality.
It is urged to the concerned authorities to execute repair work on this road on priority basis without any delay. Hope the authorities may not disappoint motorists.

Augment water supply in Udhampur
There is urgent need to improve water supply in Udhampur town as people here face acute water shortage. There is also uneven distribution of water in many colonies. The people have protested over this problem a number of times. But this issue has not been resolved as per the satisfaction of people of the town. The district administration must review the existing position and take measures for augmenting water supply in the town.
The leaking pipes at many places need to be plugged, otherwise, the people here have to drink contaminated water.
The PHE authorities must initiate action in the matter.
