Connect children with moral values at early stage to prevent drug abuse: Zorawar

JAMMU, Nov 21: A week-long Shrimad Bhagwat Satwaah organised by Shri Hindu Takht, J&K at Jatte-De-Kothe in Pangali Colony near the Indo-Pak border concluded with a strong message against drug abuse and narco-terrorism.
The event was held to offer prayers for the martyrs of security forces and was supervised by religious preachers Sahil Maharaj along with the office-bearers and volunteers of Shri Hindu Takht.
Chairman Team Jammu and BJP spokesperson Zorawar Singh Jamwal, along with other social activists, attended the programme, which focused on Sanatan and moral values.
Addressing the gathering, Zorawar urged parents to connect their children with Sanatan teachings and moral values from an early age to prevent them from falling prey to drugs.
He appealed to the youth to stay away from narcotics and anti-social activities and instead work for national unity and social harmony.
He said drug abuse is a major threat to the future of Jammu and Kashmir and stressed the need for families, educational institutions and religious bodies to collectively fight this growing menace.
He added that Team Jammu is committed to promoting nationalism, discipline and a drug-free society.
Preacher Sahil Maharaj delivered spiritual sermons and urged people to inculcate religious discipline and moral teachings in children at home.
He appreciated Team Jammu for its campaign against narco-terrorism and drug abuse.
The programme concluded with collective prayers for peace, unity and the protection of the younger generation from social evils.
