Congress will revive paradigm of equitable development: Bhalla

JAMMU, Nov 24: Minister for Housing, Culture and Horticulture and Congress party candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency Raman Bhalla said that the manifesto released by the Congress recently clearly reiterated party’s commitments towards peace, prosperity and progress of the State.
Mr Bhalla said this, while addressing series of public gatherings in Bahu Fort, Nanak Nahgar, Narwal Pain, Chatha Pind, Trikuta Nagar, Digiana, Bhour Pind and Gandhi Nagar areas of the constituency.
“The 16-points manifesto released by the Congress including creation of fully empowered regional councils, delimitation of the Assembly constituencies, three tier Panchayati Raj, flood-relief work in State besides reservation for the people living along IB and rehabilitation of the border firing victims of Jammu region in safer zones reiterates that the Congress will once again revive the paradigm of all-round and equitable development of all the three regions of the State, if people repose trust in us”, the Minister stated.
Mr Bhalla disclosed that Congress made development as a narrative and discourses in the State, and dispersed the fruits of development beyond the limitations, adding that Congress had vision of a vibrant, progressive and united Jammu and Kashmir.
He asked the people to bring back the Congress to power to carry out the development in every nook and corner of the three regions of the State.
Minister added that Congress worked for the up-gradation of the basic facilities and infrastructure of various priorities like quality education, water and power supply, better medical health care facilities for the benefit of residents of Gandhi Nagar constituency.
He stated that with commissioning of a number of major water supply schemes in the Gandhi Nagar constituency, people are getting safe and hygienic drinking water, new ration stores have been opened up and the whole constituency, today, is connected through a network of roads and lanes.
Electrification of number of areas in the constituency was done by getting a number of electric poles and transformers installed and upgraded, Minister said, adding that around 15 schools have been upgraded to high and higher secondary level, which is catering to the needs of thousands of students at their doorsteps and all this happened due to the positive approach, sincerity and dedication of the Congress party towards the people.
Mr Bhalla asked the people to compare his tenure as representative of the Gandhi Nagar constituency with previous 50 years and make the difference themselves on ground.
Some of the prominent persons also spoke on the occasion and assured wholehearted support to Raman Bhalla as Congress party candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency in the forthcoming assembly elections.
