UDHAMPUR, Nov 18: The Udhampur District Congress Committee today held a strong protest demonstration against alleged negligence of the administration of GMC Udhampur where the CT-scan machine has been lying non functional for the past 50 day.
Under the leadership of District Congress Working President Sumeet Magotra, a large number of Congress workers assembled at GMC Udhampur and strongly protested raising slogans.
Sumeet Magotra said; “We have repeatedly raised our voice that there should be no negligence in providing facilities to patients. But the silence of the administration as well as the local public representatives clearly shows that no one cares about the pain of common people. A CT-scan machine remaining out of order for 50 days raises serious questions on the entire system. This is not just a technical fault this is directly playing with human lives.”
Magotra warned that if the CT-scan machine is not made functional within a week, they will launch a massive agitation against the GMC administration.
“We have always stood for patients, the poor, and the distressed. Today too, we stand firm with the same commitment. Our struggle will not stop until the CT-scan machine starts functioning again and people get relief,” he added.
