JAMMU, Apr 24: Former MLA and senior Congress leader, Ashok Kumar has demanded revocation of SRO-202 and regularization of daily rated employees under SRO-520.
In a handout, Kumar claimed that SRO-202 is totally discriminatory and completely against the youth of J&K while the SRO-520 framed during the BJP-PDP Coalition Government to regularize casual and need based workers is still pending even though the State has become a Union Territory.
Kumar claimed that a person appointed under SRO-202 shall be on probationary period for five years after completion of which he becomes permanent.
He said that thousands of daily rated and casual workers entitled under SRO-520 in all the departments of J&K Govt have completed over 10 years in service.
“A person appointed under SRO-202 should be entitled to the benefits of annual increment, dearness allowance, house rent allowances and city compensatory allowances after completion of five year service,” he maintained.
