Congress, allies do not want J&K to prosper: BJP

JAMMU, Feb 10: J&K Bhartiya Janta Party president Ravinder Raina today flayed Congress and its allies National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party in a public rally held in Jammu West Assembly segment at Ward number 35 and stated these parties do not want Jammu and Kashmir to prosper.
The public rally was organised by BJP unit of Jammu West in which top brass leadership including State General Secretary (org.), Ashok Kaul, MP Jammu Poonch, Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Minister Sat Sharma (CA), Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta and Corporators of various wards participated.
Speaking on the occasion, Raina lambasted the callous approach of parties like NC, Congress, PDP and said they are responsible for the worst condition of J&K during their tenures and now when the nation has a hard working Prime Minister who thinks only about welfare of common man, they are spreading false propagandas against him.
General Secretary, Ashok Kaul said by removing Article 370, BJP has delivered pre poll promise and with the abrogation of the same, now J&K will flourish like never before in coming times and many problems which persisted during the earlier regimes in J&K will be finished soon and a new dawn of development and peace which has already started under leadership of Prime Minister will continue to persist.
Jugal Kishore stated that Jammu Poonch Parliamentary constituency witnessed a major development in last five years and he would continue to work more to take it to the mark of a model Lok Sabha constituency. He also announced Rs 10 lakhs from his Constituency Development Funds for the construction of a community hall in Ward 35 where rally was organised.
Sat Sharma said that Citizen Amendment Act was a historic decision of the Centre and only the Congress and its allies were spreading rumours regarding it which gives citizenship rights to persecuted people of the neighbouring countries.
Chander Mohan Gupta spoke on various policies of the Union Government which changed lifestyle of the common man.
Others who spoke on the occasion were District President Munish Khajuria, State Secretary Praduman Singh, Mandal Presidents Raveesh Mengi & Keshav Chopra, Corporator Yash Pal Mantoo, Mohan Singh Rana and Ayodhya Gupta.
