Cong workers’ meet at Gharota, Vijaypur

JAMMU, July 29: In the Congress workers’ meetings held at Vijaypur and Raipur- Domana constituencies today former ministers and senior Congress leaders Jugal Kishore Sharma and Mula Ram asked the party activists to strengthen Congress at grass root level.
Addressing huge gathering at Gharota under Raipur Damana constituency, Mula Ram asked the party workers to extend their reach and project the demands and problems of the masses. He said that Congress was committed for the upliftment of the poor and down trodden people. He assured full support of the party in resolving their basic issues. The local party leadership projected the demands like shortage of drinking water, power supply and poor condition of roads, lanes and drains.
Senior leaders Hari Singh Chib, Tallantar Singh block president, Udhay Bhanu Singh, Partap Singh and Ravi Kant Seth also spoke.
While addressing another Congress rally at Rampur village near Vijaypur in district Samba today, Jugal Kishore Sharma (MLC) hoped that Congress would form next Government in the State at its own. He said Congress has it presence in every part of the State and in the country and it is only party which can keep united all the three regions and can provide equal development in all the region. He asked the party workers to strengthen the party at every corner of Vijaypur Constituency. The MLC also announced Rs 5 lakh for transformer and hand pumps in the area from his CDF.
Local Congress leader Arun Sharma while speaking on the occasion projected the burning issues of the people and alleged that local MLA and minister have failed to mitigate the same. Congress leaders Hamid Choudhary, Dr Chhaju Ram, Dalip Singh, Samitter Singh and others also addressed the gathering.
