Cong to seek redressal of public issues during Assembly session: Mir

JAMMU, Mar 1: Congress Party is committed to seek fulfillment of guarantees including socio, economic, unemployment, developmental etc, concerning the public in J&K in the upcoming Assembly session.
Congress Legislature Party Leader and AICC general secretary Ghulam Ahmad Mir today made these comments while commenting on the upcoming Assembly session, which is set to start on March 3 in Jammu.
Mir said Congress Party is committed to seek fulfillment of guarantees which have been made to the public during the elections and will strongly press for filling of vacancies, regularisation of daily wagers and casual labourers who are working in different departments since decades.
The Party will also take up the unjustified electricity tariff in the Legislature, which is among the main cause of economic crisis confronting public, besides Congress has prioritized various socio-political issues which would be taken up during the upcoming session for their resolution in the larger interest of people of J&K, CLP leader said
Congress Party is duty bound to fight for the public and ensure them respite, for that matter, the Party (Congress) has fixed priorities including fulfillment of guarantees that the Congress Party has made during the elections. All those commitments shall be strongly debated and discussed in the Legislature to seek an end to public grievances, Mir averred.
Economic backwardness, tax terrorism, rising unemployment, smart meters, unjustified electricity tariff, lack of development and various other issues concerning J&K will be highlighted on priority in the Legislature, aiming to ensure that people get respite, Mir added and reiterated that Congress will do its utmost to seek fulfillment of the guarantees made to public.
