Cong to raise issue of ‘blatant misuse’ of nation’s wealth by Modi-Adani: PCC chief

SRINAGAR/JAMMU, Apr 6: The ongoing Nationwide “Jai Bharat Satyagraha” was launched against the alleged misuse of Nation’s wealth by Modi-Adani nexus and in protest against erroneous conviction and disqualification of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party, despite the malicious propaganda and vendetta politics, shall continue to raise voice against open loot and intimidation of opposition on the part of Modi Govt.
J&K Pradesh Congress Committee chief Vikar Rasool Wani made these remarks while reviewing the ongoing ‘Jai Bharat Satyagraha’ in all the districts of Kashmir in a meeting held today at Srinagar Party Office. Wani received feedback about the protests held in the districts against the loot of Nation’s wealth, erroneous conviction and disqualification of Rahul Gandhi for raising Modani issue in the Lok Sabha.
Wani said Modi Govt after failing to respond to Rahul Gandhi’s questions over relations with Adani Group of companies adopted policy of intimidation of opposition even inside the Lok Sabha, so that questions over Adani issue were not  raised by the opposition especially Congress Party, but it  could not terrorise Congress. He said Congress will continue to raise the issue. Wani urged upon the DCC presidents, Incharges and Co-Incharges of the Districts   to vigorously follow the Nation wide programme and make it a big success like Bharat Jodo Yatra.
As a part of Jai Bharat Satyagraha launched by AICC, Congress today organized  series of rallies including at Talab Tillo and Dansal in Jammu district while similar other programs were held elsewhere in the province.
JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla, chief spokesperson  Ravinder Sharma and former minister and I/C DCC president Jammu Urban, Yogesh Sawhney were the main speakers at Talab Tillo organised by Secretary PCC Sanjeev Panda, While Bhalla, Ravinder Sharma and District president Jammu Rural Hari Singh Chib addressed the rally, later, at Dansal alongwth Th Romal Singh and Th Balbir  Singh.
Sonika Sharma, Corporator, Darshan Verma, Janak Mehra, besides Neeraj Gupta,Suresh Dogra, Rajveer Singh, Ramakant Khajuria, Sat Pal Spolia, Koushal Sharma, H S Baghi, Virinder Manhas, Parshotam Mehra, Darshana Devi were prominent  in Jammu while  Madan Mohan Dubey,  Mohan Lal, Balwan Singh, Soma Devi, Hans Raj, Janak Raj, Freed Ahmed, Mohd Hussain and others were prominent at Dansal.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla  said that the Congress would do everything to save democracy of the country, alleging that the BJP-led government at the Centre is “willing to destroy democracy”. He said Rahul Gandhi has been targeted because he asked PM Modi   about the Adani Group.  He also claimed that the process in which Rahul Gandhi was disqualified bypassed the functioning of the Election Commission.
Accusing the BJP of running the country tyrannically, he asked how long BJP Govt is going to send CBI or ED to critics. “Even if one has committed a grave crime, one will be excused if the person is willing to join the BJP,” he claimed.
Yogesh Sawhney lashed out at the vendetta politics  of Modi govt and said that the this is worst ever attack on the democracy and constitution of the country. He said that the poor and unemployed youth are being crushed under unprecedented price rise and record unemployment but the BJP is trying to divert the attention of people from real issues.
District president Jammu Rural Hari Singh Chib claimed that suspension of Rahul Gandhi was a defeat for democracy itself, we will support the Congress leader in the fight against oppression.”Democratic norms and civil liberties have deteriorated since the BJP came to power in 2014″, he alleged.
Later a protest rally/ Satyagrah was taken out in main Bazar of Talab Tillo, raising slogans against BJP and Modi govt and in favour of  Rahul Gandhi.
A large ‘Mashal Rally’ was taken out as part of nationwide Satyagrah/protest at Bishnah town in Jammu district by Congress activists led by JKPCC secretary, Shashi Sharma this evening. Similar protests were held at other places across the region.
