In a joint statement JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla, chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, former ministers Jugal Kishore Sharma and Jagjivan Lal; Rakesh Wazir, Rajesh Sadhotra DCC president Ajay Salalia, Vijay Sharma, Munshi Ram, Karandeep Singh and others have said that the demand of the people is genuine and in the larger interests of the pilgrims and all bread earners dependant upon the holy Yatra.
On one hand government claims overall improvement in the security situation post an unfortunate incident in the area, while on other hand the restrictions continue over the timing of Yatra.
The authorities should make fool proof arrangements for the smooth conduct of the yatra, after considering the demand of the agitating people regarding the duration of yatra, they added.
