JAMMU, Aug 14: Accusing Congress of washing out the entire Monsoon Session of Parliament, BJP today said that it (Congress) was responsible for hampering the passage of some important Bills like Goods & Service Tex (GST) Bill.
“The entire Parliament Session was washed out because of Congress attitude and for the ego of a particular family’’, BJP national spokesperson, Sambit Patra told reporters here, today along with Party State president and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and its State spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan.
Making a scathing attack on Congress, he said Party leadership is in desperation after losing power and they are making wild allegations having neither proof, nor base. “For BJP nations is above family but for Congress every thing is for family’’, he said, adding this is the reason that Congress stalled the proceedings of Parliament and hampered passage of important bills.
Mr Patra said the another reason for desperation of Congress is that the Party can’t digest that a common man has become  Prime Minister and whatever they did in Parliament was mere frustration of the Party leadership. “A towering leader like mrs Sonia Gandhi came into well to protest while some half naked activists of the party protested in front of Lok Sabha Speaker’s residence which is totally unfortunate’’, he added.
Ridiculing the statement of Congress Spokesperson Ranjit Surjiwala that BJP is power hungry, he said there is only one family in the country which is power hungry and every one knows that. “Gandhi family speaks out of ego and if any one gave set back to Indian economy that is 10 Janpath’’, he added.
Lambasting Congress Party, he said its face has been eroded by disrupting the entire Monsoon Session of Parliament. The Party leaders fled from debate in Parliament and were later exposed by External Affairs Minister, Mrs Sushma Swaraj and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, he added.
He said BJP has given a strong PM to country who is working for its development.
He said instead of accusing BJP about Lalit Gate, the Congress should have an introspection so that it will come to know which party was in power when through IPL scam nation lost crores of rupees and who was in power when the Lalit Modi fled from the country and who paved a way for that, he added.
Mr Patra said that Mrs Sushma Swaraj gave reply to every thing in Parliament and clarified position. “Had BJP been with Lalit Modi our Government would have not framed money laundering case against him’’. The Congress led UPA Government had framed a weak case against him, he added.
On the functioning of coalition in the State, the BJP leader said there is no misunderstanding between the two coalition partners, BJP and PDP. “This Government is based on understanding of people’’, he added.
