KUPWARA, Nov 28: MP, Rajya Sabha, Gulam Ali Khatana today lashed heavily at the Congress, National Conference (NC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the present mess in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that these parties were and are partners in looting the resources of the erstwhile State and betrayed the trust reposed in them by the common masses.
Addressing a large gathering here, today Gulam Ali Khatana said that Pakistan sponsored terrorist violence has devastated the Jammu and Kashmir during last 30 years and led to killing of thousands and economic loss in billions. “Pakistan is no friend of people of Jammu and Kashmir and both Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah has made it clear that India would talk to its own including Kashmiris, Paharis, Gujjars, Bakkerwals, Dogra for bringing in an era of peace and development,” said Khatana adding that during past eight years of BJP rule, Pakistan has been exposed at international level as mother of terrorism. On the other hand India has emerged as a world leader and is respected by all.
Khatana said that days of the politicians, who mislead the people of Kashmir by issuing emotional slogans, showing green handkerchief, rock salt, are over and now accountability, transparency and development are the hallmark of Narendra Modi led BJP Government. He said that dynasts who have lost their face are now trying to rake up the dead issues and clock won’t turn back. “People should come forward and take the benefits of centrally sponsored schemes.
The Government is very serious to ameliorate the lot of the common masses and recent meeting of by the Home Minister, Amit Shah with the representatives of Gujjar-Bakkerwal community to reassure them that there ST quota won’t be disturbed is a pointer towards that, said Khatana adding that during a very short span of time BJP has brought monumental changes in the erstwhile State and its benefits have started showing results on the ground.
Now there are no incidents of stone pelting, number of terrorist incidents have gone down and the frustrated attempts of the Pakistan to reignite terrorism have few takers, said Khatana.
