JAMMU, Oct 18: In a resounding call to protect India’s democratic foundations, AICC secretary and Co-incharge Organization, Neeraj Kundan today inaugurated the “Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod” signature campaign at Bishnah, rallying residents against rampant electoral manipulations.
This nationwide initiative, spearheaded by Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, aims to collect over five crore signatures to demand transparency from the Election Commission of India (ECI) and expose systematic voter deletions and bogus entries that undermine free and fair polls.
Addressing an enthusiastic gathering, Kundan declared, “Vote Chori is a major threat to our democracy. It erodes the sacred principle of ‘one person, one vote’ and shakes public faith in the electoral process. LoP Rahul Gandhi’s fearless campaign against this blatant assault-evidenced by over one lakh irregularities uncovered in Bengaluru alone-is a beacon for safeguarding India’s democratic setup. It is our collective responsibility to endorse his words and join this mass movement for accountability.”
The event highlighted alarming instances of vote theft, including illegal deletions in Karnataka and bulk bogus additions in Maharashtra, allegedly facilitated through centralized software. “Without vote chori, the BJP cannot cling to power,” Kundan asserted, urging citizens to register support at votechori.in/ecdemand and download certificates pledging against electoral fraud. Launched in August 2025, the campaign has already garnered over 15 lakh digital endorsements and 10 lakh missed calls, transforming into a pan-India people’s revolt.
Prominent leaders present on the occasion included Kailash Saini (Block president, Arnia), Vijay Tagotra, Roop Lal Bhagat, Yash Budda, Subash Saini, Jyoti Bajwa, Ravi Sharma, and other local workers. The drive will intensify across Jammu division, with door-to-door outreach to amplify voices against this “organized siege on democracy.”
Kundan also distributed volley kits, lights and other sports equipments among the youth of this border belt.
