Cong flays Govt for failure to regularize daily wagers

JAMMU, June 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Congress has criticized the Government’s failure to resolve the issues of agitating PHE daily wagers and regularize their services for long time.
In a statement JKPCC has taken strong exception to the approach to the issues of daily wagers, need based workers in PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control besides in several other departments who are rendering their services for decades and many of them have even retired, without regularisation.
JKPCC chief spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma has said that it is cruel joke of the present Government with the youth who are on agitation for justice. The BJP had promised them regularisation before election in 2014 but betrayed them for eight years.
The party has fully supported their cause and demanded to regularize all such category of daily wagers in different departments including Jal Shakti and others without any delay and payment of all pending wages to them.
Meanwhile, as per the All India Congress Committee (AICC) Udaipur declaration, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today appointed two senior J&K leaders as conveners for “Unite India” Movement “Programme” (Bharat Jodo Yatra).
JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla and former minister Taj Mohi-ud-Din were appointed as conveners for this very significant initiative “Unite India” Movement as per the Udaipur Declaration of AICC.
The conveners will have close coordination with AICC with regard to implementation of `Bharat Jodo Yatra’ from Kashmir to Kanyakumari as resolved in the Udaipur Chintan Shivir. This was disclosed by J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Ghulam Ahmad Mir in Srinagar.
