JAMMU, Sept 28: Congress, now confined to a family and few leaders, needs to review its whole approach and policies in the present political scenario, both at international and national level. This party has been politically marginalised across the country and is surviving on the crutches of talking against every decision, policy and programme of the present BJP Government under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
Balbir Ram Rattan, spokesperson, Jammu and Kashmir, BJP, said this, while claiming that the mission ‘Congress Mukt Bharat’ has been almost accomplished and the remaining will soon be achieved with the contribution of its own leaders.
Balbir said that in a healthy democracy, a responsive opposition is must but unfortunately, the Congress and many other political parties, have, failed to play their role in a positive manner as they are more concerned to promote dynastic politics.
The BJP spokesperson said that by looking at the present politics being played by opposition parties, particularly the Congress, one would note that this party never utters a single word of appreciation even when India gets recognition at global level, which needs to be taken as an honour for every one, be it political party or a citizen of the country. He said that when it comes on sovereignty and security of the country or safety and well being of its citizens, the politics should be kept aside, which is not seen these days.
Balbir, while referring to the good governance and people-centric dispensation under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, said that during the seven years period, a lot has been done in every sector with the sole objective of massive development and socio-economic upliftment of every citizen across the country and a wave of such change is visible on ground but the Congress is not willing to accept, which is again the reflective of its narrow and self- centric approach.
He said the bottom line of this kind of politics by Congress is that it has the sole agenda to oppose everything done by BJP Government. It would be better for Congress if it revisit its policies and acts as an opposition party, which understands its role and responsibility well.
