JAMMU, July 18: Incharge J&K SC Morcha of BJP, SC Rajan has alleged that Congress has exploited Scheduled Castes but BJP has empowered them.
Addressing a meeting of BJP State Scheduled Caste (SC) Morcha comprising of its State office bearers and senior leaders at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar today, Swaroop Chand Rajan asked the senior SC leaders to contribute maximum in the ongoing membership campaign. He termed this task as an excellent opportunity to connect with the masses.
He said that in the present regime, masses from every community have felt that their issues are being taken up with empathetic considerations with particular focus on empowerment of all deprived sections. He said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, SC community is now coming out of stigma of being considered as vote bank only. He added that while Congress, exploited SCs for gaining power, BJP empowered them and prompted them to reach up to every area and take the message of empowerment to the community members and encourage them to join the right party for positive change.
Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, referred to various schemes and policies for the raising the living standards of the SC community, especially with in those regions, which were still left untouched after so many decades. He pointed out that the J&K state is often left behind in the race of reforms being taken up at the National level but we as the soldiers of BJP are determined to give every possible benefit of National schemes to SC community.
Jagdish Bhagat, president, expressed his gratitude towards the National leader. He said that the experiences shared by the tall leaders will certainly help the SC leaders from J&K to gain momentum in ongoing membership campaign. He also put forth the progress on other organizational matters in particular relevant to the community and raised certain issues.
The meeting was also addressed by Dharminder Kumar, Prahlad Bhagat, former MLA Prof Gharu Ram and others.
