RAJOURI, Jan 17: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Rajouri, today organised a comprehensive workshop on the Viksit Bharat G RAM G (VB-G RAM G) Bill 2025 under the VB-G RAM G Jan Jagaran Abhiyan at the party Headquarters, here.
Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Gulam Ali Khatana, was the main speaker on the occasion.
Addressing party leaders and workers, Gulam Ali Khatana launched a scathing attack on the Congress, stating that “Congress has a long history of befooling the people in the name of Gandhi while delivering nothing but corruption, confusion and hollow slogans on the ground.” He said that the VB-G RAM G Bill 2025 is a decisive, visionary and historic reform aimed at ending long-standing irregularities in rural employment schemes and ensuring transparent, accountable and need-based benefits for the poorest sections of society.
He asserted, “VB-G RAM G is not merely a change in nomenclature; it is a comprehensive structural correction. It plugs loopholes, strengthens verification mechanisms, enforces robust social audits and ensures that public money reaches the genuine poor instead of middlemen and fake beneficiaries.”
Explaining the purpose of the workshop, Khatana said that BJP Rajouri has organised this programme to equip party teams who will fan out across districts, blocks and villages to generate mass awareness. He noted that while MGNREGA was launched with good intentions, it gradually became riddled with weak monitoring, lack of proper verification, misuse of funds and political patronage, thereby failing to deliver its intended benefits to the most deprived sections.
Criticising the Congress for indulging in petty politics over the scheme’s name, the MP said, “Instead of engaging in a constructive debate on reforms, Congress prefers emotional politics. VB-G RAM G exposes their failures and empowers rural India with dignity, transparency and sustainable livelihoods.”
BJP district president, Rajouri, Shri Dev Raj Sharma, in his impactful address, described VB-G RAM G as one of the dream and mission-mode initiatives of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to transform rural India.
BJP State secretary, Dinesh Sharma, stated that VB-G RAM G reflects the spirit of Viksit Bharat @2047, where villages will be central to national growth.
The workshop was attended by BJP State secretary, Dinesh Sharma, district general secretary, Sanjay Sharma, Seh Prabhari, ST Morcha J&K, Rajinder Gupta, co-convenor, Refugee Cell J&K, Subash Sharma, ex-Chairperson, Rajouri Municipal Council, Arif Jatt, Yogesh Sharma and others.
