HARIDWAR, Aug 2: A two day conference jointly organised by Patanjali University, Patanjali Research Centre and Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi started here today.
During the conference discussions took place for integrating modern medical practices with Ayurveda.
About 200 educational institutions from 16 States with over 300 candidates participated in the conference on both online and offline modes.
The conference started by the lighting of ceremonial lamp by Swami Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishan and others and this was followed by Dhanvantri Vandana.
After this, welcome address was delivered by Patanjali Research Centre Vice President, Dr. Anurag.
Experts on medical practices, researchers, policy makers and health engineering experts threw light on the subject.
Speaking on the occasion Chancellor of Patanjali University, Swami Ramdev announced that to ensure public welfare, AIIMS, Tata Cancer Institute and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital will help to start a therapy based on modern technology at Patanjali Ayurvedic Hospital at low cost.
He also said that motive of integrating medical practices is public welfare and it should not be a wealth collecting move.
On this occasion, Dr. Shreya, Dr. Radhika and Dr. Mukesh of Engineering Organisation Ropad inked a Memorandum of Understanding with Acharya Balkrishan, VC of Patanjali University for cooperation in education and research works.
Central University VC, Prof. Shriniwas Barkhedi, Dr. Vipin Kumar, General Secretary AYUSH Council, Dr. Sunil Ahuja, Padam Shree Dr. B.N Gangadhar, National Medical Commission president, Dr. Vishal Mago, Professor and HOD at Burn and Plastic Surgery Department of AIIMS Rishikesh, Dr. Gopal C Nanda, Prof. Puluk Mukherjee, Prof. Dr. Meenakshi Dhar and many other experts also participated in the conference.
