JAMMU, Dec 30: Taking serious exception to circular issued by Directorate of School Education (DSE) Kashmir, All India Confederation of SC, ST and OBC Organisations has sought immediate intervention of Lt Governor, Chief Secretary and other higher ups in the matter and demanded immediate suspension of the officer responsible for issuing such a tortuous circular.
Confederation leaders at a press conference here, today said the circular issued by Directorate of School Education, Kashmir demands investigation against the entire SC community employees working in Kashmir.
They said in this connection, a memorandum was submitted to LG, Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary J&K and Secretary to Government, Directorate of School Education also.
RK Kalsotra, State president, Confederation, said that the circular is itself a complaint not against a set of individuals but the entire SC Community employees. The atrocious part is that the Government has launched an investigation itself against the community employees. He noted that the SC community used to face harassment and atrocities from the public but now it has started from the side of Government as well.
He further added that the nature of such complaint is anonymous and not backed by any proof. Due to this, the SC employees are being harassed. Although a GAD Circular issued by Central Vigilance Department notes that the administration should not entertain anonymous complaints, but the departments in J&K are acting otherwise.
He said “We have stated in the memorandum that action be taken against the issuance of such order which puts the entire SC community at blame and demand suspension of the authority behind the order,. If the demands aren’t met, protest would be organised soon to expose the administration”, he added.
Others who were present in press conference included Ram Lal, Bodh Raj, Mohinder Kumar, Madan Lal, Raj Kumar, and Karan Raja.
