JAMMU, Mar 21: All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organizations and Dalit OBC Minority (DOM) organized a meeting here in Jammu today to discuss the forthcoming Dalit Kissan Panchayat scheduled to be held at Gurdaspur, Punjab on March 25.
RK Kalsotra, State president of the Confederation – DOM said that the agenda of the meeting was to unite the like minded people for the upcoming Dalit Kisan Panchayat which are being organized at the national level to address the issues of privatization of the agriculture sector in which Kissan leaders Rakesh Tikait, Gurnam Singh along with Dr Udit Raj (National Chairman of Confederation) will participate.
He said that certain resolutions were passed at the meeting and these included the resolution to support the farmers protest in continuation across the nation, pressuring the Government to withhold privatization of crucial sectors and a Panchayat session to be hosted in Jammu.
