Conducting of examinations of ETT students demanded

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, May 3: Teaching Community Welfare Association in a meeting here today held under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina its president today demanded immediate holding of examination of ETT students.
The meeting expressed concern that the session 2011-13 is going to conclude but ETT examinations have not been conducted.
It said the admission for the session 2011-13 took place through counseling and list system and in the year 2008-10 the admission was granted through list system. It said as the Counseling for the session 2011-13 was not extended, most of the ETT institutions experienced short fall of students. The colleges submitted the list of J&K BOSE. Later a three member Committee was set up to authenticate the list and even the Board of Directors has also considered the admission list for the session 2011-13.
The teaching community feels that in case the examinations are not conducted at an earliest the career of ETT students would be affected.
The Association has sought the intervention of Minister of Education and Chairman JKBOSE into the matter so that the examinations are held at an earliest.
