JAMMU, Jan 10: The Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) has expressed concern over the delay in payment of cash assistance to the migrants and demanded that same be released immediately.
The JTC which met here today reiterated the demand that the exiled people depending on cash doles from Government are not in a position to pay power tariff and hence unable to sign agreement. The meeting was presided over by its president Shadi Lal Pandita.
He demanded enhancement of relief and declared that on January 12 a protest will be held in support of the demands.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party (SP) Migrant Cell president Inder Ji Labroo also demanded that no power tariff be charged from migrants.
He demanded that the utensils of community hall Muthi be handed over to Zonal Officer Phase 3rd Jagti as the camp was shifted to Jagti since then.
