JAMMU, July 29: District president BJP Jammu Rural Omi Khajuria has demanded immediate compensation to people whose crops and fruit trees were damaged in hailstorm and flash floods that lashed the Jammu the day before yesterday.
In a statement issued here, today he said in the rural belt of the Jammu standing drops and fruit trees were damaged by the hailstorm and flash floods. Besides, the residential houses and sheds were also damaged in flash floods in various areas of the district rural. He demanded that the compensation be paid to these people after assessing the losses.
He demanded that the Revenue Department and Agriculture Department should constitute the team of officers and officials to assess the losses without any further delay.
