Committee to examine irregularities in transfers of teachers

JAMMU, Sept 12: The School Education Department has constituted a committee to examine and give specific recommendations with respect to the recent controversial transfer of teachers under ATD-2025 by Chief Education Officer Poonch.
The committee, headed by Ritu Mahajan, Additional Secretary, School Education Department, has Gurdev Kumar, Joint Director, Directorate of School Education, Jammu and Waseem Shoket Bhat, Additional Secretary (Law), DSEJ as the Members.
The committee shall ascertain whether procedure and transfer policy guidelines were adhered to in the transfers and shall find out the deviations, irregularities or misuse of authority if any.
Further, the committee shall suggest the modified mechanism to be put in place so that such situation never arise in future.
The committee shall submit the report along with findings and recommendations, within a week’s period.
