SRINAGAR, Sept 11: Government today constituted a committee to examine and consider the recommendations of Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR), New Delhi.
According to an order issued by the General Administration Department, Principal Secretary, Finance Department is the Chairman of the Committee while as Principal Secretary, Power Development Department, Commissioner Secretary of Industries and Commerce Department, Directors of Industries and Commerce, Kashmir and Jammu, Managing Director SIDCO, Financial Advisors/CAOs of Power Development and Industries and Commerce Departments are its members.
The committee will examine and consider the recommendations of BIRF in totality, its delegation, enforcement under law and its applicability to J&K; examine the waiver of interest and minimum charges in favour of M/s Singer India Ltd, Bari Brahmana and examine the extension of Amnesty Scheme 2004 in favour of M/s K G Steel Industry Pvt Ltd, Bari Brahmana in respect of arrears on account of power consumption.
The committee will furnish its recommendations within a period of one month.
