JAMMU, Nov 12: Expressing serious concern over the plight of displaced Pandits from Valley, National Conference (NC) Minority Cell today accused the coalition Government of not paying any attention in redressing their long pending demands.
Talking to media persons along with other senior leader of Minority Cell including former MLC B L Bhat, its president M K Yogi said that coalition Government was deliberately ignoring the plight of Pandits whose problems are compounding day by day.
He while highlighting the problems of displaced people alleged that no steps were taken for the passage of Shrines and Temples Bill, removal of encroachments from Shrines land as well as the private property of Pandits.
Questioning the Government’s sincerity on return of Pandits, Yogi said how can be this possible when most of the land of the displaced people has been encroached by land mafia and musclemen and the Government is making no sincere efforts to restore the same.
He said the problems of displaced Pandits like bifurcation of ration cards, inclusion of new born babies, issuance of PRCs and RBA certificates are pending.
Yogi while complimenting NC leadership including President Dr Farooq Abdullah, working president Omar Abdullah, general secretary and Vijay Bakaya advisor to Party president for entrusting responsibility by appointing him as president of the Cell and B L Bhat as its chairman said that they will strive hard to strengthen the party.
Mr Bhat also appealed the bonafide voters of the community to get themselves enrolled as voters and ensure inclusion and corrections of their voter lists in concerned offices.
