Discussing the recently concluded Anantnag by-election, besides the dubious role played and violation of Model Code of Conduct on the part of  PDP- BJP Coalition,  the meeting blamed the Govt of using official machinery and other methods to secure votes in the elections and sought  clarity from the Govt over the issue.
The meeting also deliberated on the unsealed EVMs, which were found during counting and urged upon the Election Commission of India to conduct a thorough probe into the issue, as the fair probe only can restore the faith of people in the democratic system.
Discussing the current Assembly Session, the meeting expressed satisfaction over the constructive role being played by the Party in the Legislature and vowed to remain committed to play the role of constructive opposition.
