CMO reviews RBSK implementation in Poonch

Poonch, May 27: A district-level review meeting was convened today to assess the progress of the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) in Poonch. The meeting was chaired by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan and witnessed participation from all RBSK Mobile Health Teams, the District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC) Manager, and officials from the District Programme Management Unit (DPMU).
During the session, a comprehensive review was conducted focusing on the performance of field teams, screening coverage across Government schools and Anganwadi Centres (AWCs), and the effectiveness of follow-up mechanisms.
Dr. Khan emphasized the critical need for timely health screenings, precise reporting, and prompt referrals. He highlighted that these steps are vital in achieving the core objectives of RBSK and ensuring improved health outcomes for children in the district.
Officials reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening grassroots implementation and addressing challenges in coordination and service delivery under the programme.
