JAMMU, June 22: A highly informative and clinically enriching Continuing Medical Education (CME) session on spinal deformities, including conditions like scoliosis, kyphosis and other complex spine deformities etc was conducted today at Bone and Joint Hospital, Jammu, by internationally acclaimed spine surgeon Dr. Shekhar Bojraj and his expert team.
The CME attracted a large number of patients suffering from various spinal deformities. Dr. Bojraj and his team meticulously evaluated each patient and formulated comprehensive, individualized management plans. The patients expressed deep satisfaction with the consultation and appreciated the opportunity to receive care from such an experienced and reputed spine specialist.
The academic component of the CME was equally valuable. It provided a significant learning platform for postgraduate residents and faculty members of the Department of Orthopaedics, Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu. The session included in-depth discussions on clinical evaluation, radiological interpretation, and advanced management strategies for spinal deformities. Live case interactions bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical decision- making.
This initiative served dual purposes – it enhanced the academic growth of young orthopaedic trainees and improved patient care by providing access to top-level expertise. The CME was organized by Dr. Farid Hussain Malik (Spine Surgeon) and coordinated by Dr. Abdul Ghani. The session was attended by several spine experts, including Dr. Farooq Bhat, Dr. Bias Dev, and Dr. Tahir Afzal, who actively contributed to the academic discussions and clinical evaluations.
Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Head of the Department of Orthopaedics, GMC Jammu, expressed his sincere gratitude to Dr. Shekhar Bojraj and his team for their dedication and time. Their contribution has elevated both the academic standards and the quality of spine care available to our patients in Jammu. We look forward to more such collaborative efforts in the future.
