Srinagar, Jan 23: Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah on Friday held a pre-Budget consultation with a wide spectrum of stakeholders from the Kashmir Division as part of efforts to frame a people-centric Budget.
According to a post on X by the Office of the Chief Minister, the consultation involved representatives from industry, trade, tourism, hospitality, horticulture, agriculture and academia.
The meeting focused on gathering sector-wise suggestions, concerns and priorities to ensure that the upcoming Budget reflects the aspirations and needs of the people. The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of inclusive dialogue and stakeholder participation in the Budget-making process.
The exercise is part of a series of consultations being held across the Union Territory to incorporate grassroots inputs and strengthen economic growth, employment generation and sustainable development in Jammu and Kashmir. (KNC)
