The Army on Wednesday said a local terrorist was killed a terrorist in an overnight encounter in Arahama in the Valley’s Ganderbal district. The family of Rashid Ahmed Mughal claimed he was innocent and has demanded an FIR as well as an inquiry.
“I believe the claim of the family should not be dismissed out of hand. At the very least this encounter needs a transparent & time bound probe with the facts made public,” Abdullah said in a post on X.
“Any attempt to obfuscate or delay the announcement of a probe will only damage credibility & that is not in anyone’s interest,” he added.
