JAMMU, Apr 17: Congress Legislature Party has accused PDP-BJP Govt of adopting vindictive attitude towards the opposition, especially Congress party in the State.
In a statement Congress Legislature Pary led by Rigzin Jora has lashed out at PDP-BJP Govt for targeting leaders of Congress Party and adopting discriminatory and vindictive attitude out of political Vandata in the matter of security cover and accommodation with a view to dissuade the Congress leadership from playing the role of effective and vibrant opposition in the State.
Congress Legislators said that party leaders including the State president GA Mir have been denied adequate security cover besides Government is adopting discriminatory attitude in the matter of accommodation, which is against the democratic traditions, and requirement in this sensitive state. They said that the Govt headed by the party (PDP) which always claimed to believe that politics is battle of ideas is adopting such tactics against the opposition, which is highly unfortunate and explosive the hollowness and frustration of the party.
Congress party which always fought against the communal, divisive and secessionist forces in the State, are the target of antinational forces in the state They said that those who are at the helm of affairs have availed adequate security and other facilities for playing their role while in opposition, are denying reasonable facilities in those matters to the Congress party and its leaders which is highly objectionable.
The signatories to the statement included CLP leader Rigzin Jora, Deputy Leader Aiyaz Khan, GM Sooruri , Hagi Abdul Rashid, Chief Whip, Vikar Rasoor, Asgar Karblai, Ch Mohd Akram, Asman Majid, Mohd Ameen Bhat, Del Den Namgyal, Mumtaz Khan and Gulzar Wani.
