JAMMU, Nov 26: The Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association has urged the State Government to implement the High Court order concerning removal of pay anomalies in the clerical grade.
Addressing a press conference here today, Babu Hussain Malik, president of the Association welcomed the court verdict and said that Government must honour the landmark judgment of the Court, in which the Court has directed the State Government to remove the pay anomalies of clerical cadre in terms of minutes of the meeting held on Sept 15, 2011 between high powered committee and the leaders of the then JCC- where a mechanism was put in place to redress the grievances of the clerical cadre of all departments.
He pointed out than more than four years have passed, but the grievances of the clerical cadre have not been addressed. The High Court has directed the State Government to implement the settlement arrived at on Sept 15, 2011, within the period of two months. All the members of the clerical staff body stressed upon the Government to implement the Court directive. They maintained that despite innumerous representations, protests and dharnas the Government failed to honour its commitment.
They hoped that the Government would own the responsibility and honour its commitment in view of latest developments with regard to the High Court directions. Vice president of the Association, Meenakshi Sharma and other senior members Bharat Bhushan, KA Dewani and Nazir Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
